On a recent Galley Tour on the Pacific Aria, we were interested to find a little room, which almost looked like a prison cell. It was locked so that no one could access it during the day. I can only imagine how busy it would be at peak service time!

Relax in the spa! I don’t know about you, but I just love relaxing in the spa. It’s not very often you get the whole one to yourself, so if you do, enjoy! This was on a recent cruise and on a port day. Almost everybody was off the ship (as you can see it […]
Whilst on cruise, we enjoy listening to live music from the many onboard entertainers. One band we have been following for while is Dial2 who perform on P&O Australia. Dial 2 were previously called Alter Ego and rumour has it, that they were waiters, and formed a band when the band didn’t show. They were […]
Who has been to Hobbiton from a cruise? We went a couple of years ago, and it really was an exciting and surreal experience. Not sure if I should admit this, but I have never seen any of the movies! BUT I had a fantastic time. They really have done a good job with the whole […]
Spotted on a recent P&O Cruise, one of the fanciest door decorations. We all know that your steward will add a card (or similar) to your door on your birthday or if you are celebrating anything (hint: you may have to let you stewart know a few days in advance). However most cruise ships will […]
We have all seen old time movies that are set on a sailing ship in a bygone era, and walking the plank is supposedly the favourite punishment of pirates, or even any ship captain when a crew mate (or passenger) has not followed directions; but is it real? We have it on good account that […]
Have you seen the cocktail making classes advertised in your daily paper? Well, we’ve tried them (a few times) and they are heaps of fun, and good value too! The bar staff make it so much fun with stories and banter. What’s more is that you get to make and drink four cocktails for a […]
Happy Mother’s Day to everyone. This is my mother in law who is currently sailing on P&O’s Pacific Dawn. We love how the ship gets right in and decorates for all special occasions.
Cruising is about having fun. One thing we do on every cruise, is right after the muster (also known as the Lifejacket Drill), we take a selfie. Its very interesting going back over our past cruise pictures and seeing a similar picture every time.
Lynda from Cruise Review talks about Christmas in July Cruise. What is it? Christmas in July is starting to be a tradition in the Southern Hemisphere, one that I have not really participated in, as after all there is only one Christmas right ? As July is generally the coldest month in Australia, somewhere along recent […]
